The part where he received a text message from an anonymous person could be the kidnapper threatening everyone in town, thanks to that, Jim's paranoia only got worst. The parts where someone could be around the house could be a friend of Jim's that was checking on him to make sure he's alright. He couldn't take it anymore so at the end he k!lled himselfģ.)Anxiety/Paranoia: After seeing the news about missing people, Jim becomes more paranoid every night and his anxiety starts to build up which causes him to check his closets every night and lose sleep. This could be a reference to Mark (A character in the Mandela catalogue)Ģ.) Chemical spill: In one of the newspapers it reads that there has been a chemical spill, this incident could've given Jim among many other towns folk hallucinations, paranoia and delusions (which could be the reason as to why there were disappearances) Jim was possibly affected from this which caused him to have hallucinations that someone or something was outside banging the door. One day Jim finally had enough and bought a gun to fend off the alternate, but for some reason (Ig he realized they were too powerful to be messed with or he just gave up) he decided to shoot himself. Every night there is an alternate that visits Jim. There's multiple theories to this so I'm just going to list them here-ġ.)
