You play as the girl who awakens in a cage or ‘ White Girl.’ Just like Grimoires in Nier and Pods in Nier: Automata, Mama will fill the companion role in the story. While NieR Recarnation is not a sequel to any of the games in the series, it does take place in the same universe as Nier (the game) and Nier: Automata (both of which were made for mobile too). It was originally released in Japanese, but it has now been localized and dubbed for the English release. NieR Recarnation is a free-to-play mobile role-playing game developed by Applibot and published by Square Enix. She is greeted by a creature named ‘Mama.’ Together, they attempt to uncover the girl’s past and what she had done to get to where she is in the present.
